Helping is wonderful. Until it isn't.
Eggbert is the kindest little Ovani in all of Eggonia. He holds doors, carries baskets, and never lets a neighbor struggle alone. So when he builds a helper machine to lend even more hands, it seems like the greatest idea he's ever had.
The machine sweeps. Then it scrubs. Then it waters, folds, stacks, sorts, buttons, butters — and it does not stop. Soon nobody in the village gets to tie their own shoes, finish their own painting, or solve their own puzzles. Helping too much, it turns out, can take something away.
With gears whirring out of control and his friends' patience running thin, Eggbert has to figure out the difference between helping someone and doing it for them — before his wonderful invention helps the whole village right out of its joy.
